River Restoration Fishway

Our Fishway was the result of the collaboration of several organizations over ten years.  The fishway was constructed by  excavating a 4-foot-wide channel in the bedrock next to the existing dam found within the Leonard’s Mills campus. There are a series of 17 weirs and rock pools leading to fish ladder.  This structure now allows for fish passage upstream to Chemo pond and other stream habitats.
