Welcome to the
Maine Forest and Logging Museum
We are an event-based outdoor living history museum. We preserve, demonstrate and recreate our state’s rich forestry and logging history. To see what we’re about, come to one of our events. Between events, the Museum is a lovely place to walk around.
Volunteers Needed!
Our event season is starting and we can use some help! We need volunteers for Alewife Day and Children’s Days.
Looking to help behind the scenes? Come join the crew! We need volunteers to make our events special and to help keep us looking good! Please see our volunteer page for more info.
New Events!
Wood Thrush Wilderness will be teaching traditional skills at the Museum this summer. Come learn to make a pack basket.
Our Hours
The grounds are open daily during daylight hours–except during our events–for walking around.
